Whether you are interested in volunteering your time, donating an artifact, or supporting us through a monetary donation, your contribution is greatly appreciated.
The Oriskany Museum is partially funded from the generous donations of our patrons. The majority of our artifacts have been contributed by our community and monetary donations help offset operating costs.
To make a monetary donation, please mail a check or money order to:
PO Box 284
Oriskany, NY 13424
We also accept contributions via PayPal
To contribute a historical artifact to our collection, please mail the item to the address below along with our form or a letter stating the origin of the object and your intention to add it to the Oriskany Museum Collection.
(Due to space constraints, we can no longer accept commemorative coffee cups or ashtrays.)
Are you interested in making history a hands-on job? We need researchers and helping hands alike. Reach out so we can learn together how your skills can help our goals.
Previous volunteers have helped with cataloging museum materials, staffing events like the annual village garage sale, researching specific topics, and constructing displays.
The Oriskany Museum is supported by the Village of Oriskany, the Battle of Oriskany Historical Society and the USS Oriskany Reunion Association.
The Battle of Oriskany Historical Society is a 501(c)3 non-profit open to anyone with an interest in Oriskany history. The Society meets regularly to plan fundraisers, apply for grants, and discuss local history. Please email us for membership information and the latest meeting dates.
The USS Oriskany Reunion Association is a group for former crew of CV/CVA-34. The group publishes a quarterly newsletter and hosts an annual reunion, usually alternating between the East and West Coasts. Click here for membership information.
