Oriskany History & Artisan Day

On Thursday, August 7, 2025 from 2 to 7 pm, the Oriskany Farmers Market and the Oriskany Museum will host a History & Artisans Day in honor of the Battle of Oriskany anniversary on August 6.

For this event, we are inviting local history organizations as well as artisans that still practice the skills our ancestors depended on in everyday life, such as basketry, sewing, woodworking, and more, while recognizing the large role agriculture still plays in our local community. We are also looking to connect with re-enactors and living history interpreters.

There will be presentations and tours at the Oriskany Museum throughout the evening.  Mohawk Valley Bluegrass will perform from 5:00-6:30 pm in the gazebo, highlighting the historic roots of their genre.

We hope you will be able to join us. Booths are available for just $10 for vendors; non-profit local history organizations are invited to register at no cost. To register online, please visit oriskany.org/market

If you know of an artisan or organization that may be interested, please pass along this information. For questions, please contact Alexis Albright by emailing events@oriskany.org or call/text 315-316-1967.
