Oriskany: the Lost Battlefield

Historian Joseph Robertaccio will present "Oriskany: the Lost Battlefield" on Sunday, July 12, 2026 at 2:00 pm at the Oriskany Museum (420 Utica Street, Oriskany, NY). 


Understand the Battle of Oriskany as it is being rediscovered today. Take a look at the battlefield using aerial archeology, 19th and 20th Century photographs and eyewitness accounts to find the places associated with the Battle of Oriskany, locating many of the long "lost" reports of the battle and its aftermath.

ABOUT US

The Oriskany Museum was founded as the Battle of Oriskany Historical Society in 1967. Today, the collection is featured in its own building in the heart of Oriskany, NY.

Tuesdays: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm

Thursdays: By Appointment

Sundays: Noon to 3:00 pm

Museum Closed for Easter (4/5/26) & Mother's Day (5/10/26), and May 19-24.

The museum will be open on Memorial Day (5/25/26) from 11 am to noon following the 10 am service in Trinkaus Park.
